Nine-year-old snooker star Tommy the Tornado takes on new role with Wyre Forest-based theatre group
A nine-year-old rising snooker star has been named an ambassador of a Kidderminster and Stourport based theatre group.
Tommy 'The Tornado' Fallon from Stourbridge has been named an ambassador of the Wheely Different Theatre Company, which holds a King's Award for Voluntary Service.
The rising snooker star has competed in World Snooker Federation events in Morocco and Belgium against players much older than him and has played many professionals. He recently appeared at a 'Past, Present and Future of Snooker' evening in Halesowen with Rex Williams and former world champion Stuart Bingham.
He recently made an appearance on national television on Good Morning Britain and has been featured on Channel Five and other media.

Alongside his sporting success, Tommy lives with ADHD and autism, and according to his dad James, has used snooker as a "positive outlet".

The theatre group provides performance opportunities for adults who need extra support and are well known for their creative and inspiring productions. James said Tommy was proud to be asked to be an ambassador.
He said: "Being chosen to be an ambassador for Wheely Different is a huge honour for Tommy and something he is incredibly proud of.
"As his dad, I couldn’t be prouder of what he’s achieved so far.
"Seeing his passion for the game and the confidence it’s given him has been amazing, and we’re excited to see just how far his journey in snooker can go. He has already competed against players twice his age as well."
Next up for Tommy is the Jurgen Cup, which will take place in The Netherlands in March, before appearances in the English under-16s and under-18s Championships later this year as well as travelling to Ireland for an international competition.
