'Allow extra time': Stranded lorry causes M6 lane closures between Walsall and Wednesbury

The roads authority warned that live lane closures were in place, with delays building on approach.

A roads spokesperson said: "M6 southbound between Junction 10, Walsall, and Junction 9, Wednesbury.

"Live lane closures. Stranded lorry. 

"Delays building on the approach. Allow extra time."

The lorry was cleared at 9.10am, with West Midlands Roads announcing that built-up congestion is easing. 

The roads spokesperson said: "M6 southbound between J10, Walsall, and J9, Wednesbury. 

"Lorry has been removed. 

"Congestion that built up should ease."
