'It is an incredible opportunity for someone with vision,' owner says as Grade II listed hotel in Stafford town centre put up for sale
Grade II listed town centre hotel Bridgewood House in Stafford has been put on the market.
The hotel, which has 72 ensuite guest bedrooms with a mix of single, double and triple rooms, is for sale with a freehold asking price of £2,500,000.

It has operated as a budget-style hotel in recent year - providing pod-style layouts and communal facilities including sitting rooms, kitchens and laundry rooms.
The bar and restaurant, which previously traded as the Hogshead Public House, has capacity to cater for 84 covers and boasts a prominent corner position, spacious bar and commercial kitchen.
Alexi Pittalis, of Jomaro Group - which owns the hotel, in Earl Street, Stafford, said: “My grandfather bought this beautiful Grade II listed building over 20 years ago, and since then, it has been run as a pub, cafe, restaurant, hotel, staff and student accommodation, and more. What stands out is its prominent location in the heart of Stafford. It is an incredible opportunity for someone with vision. It's time to let it go so we can focus on our property portfolio in London.”
Matt Hill, senior business agent at Christie & Co, is managing the sale process and said: “Bridgewood House provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced hotel operator to acquire a freehold asset in the heart of Stafford town centre. There are an excellent number of rooms arranged in a modern format with communal facilities whilst still retaining the character of the building. It is a substantial property in a great location and the bar and restaurant offers an additional income stream in a busy, convenient location.”
Leasehold proposals will be considered from experienced operators who can provide covenant strength, Christie & Co said.
