Featuring the Gig Caritas Chorus and Orchestra under the baton of renown conductor Keith Horsfall, this modern day classic has become one of the most performed choral works of modern times and aptly describes a profound journey from the menace of war to the hope of peace.

It tells a story through soaring melodies and moments of breath taking intensity which will be accompanied by an interpretive slide show to help explain the music.

The concert will also include Vaughan Williams radiant Five Mystical Songs featuring acclaimed baritone Alex Lindsay as soloist, while Shostakovich's  dazzling Festive Overture  will open proceedings.

Since their formation Gig Caritas have raised well over £70,000 for good causes both in and around the Black Country and this concert is no exception, with proceeds from the event going to help the Mayor of Kidderminster's Charity Fund Raising Campaign.

They will be supporting Kidderminster and District Youth Trust, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and Kidderminster Foodbank.
