Industrial and logistics specialist Erdgard Development, in partnership with the Oldbury based Richardson family business, has submitted the application for the Pulse, Wolverhampton, development which will deliver three large units ranging from 21,000 sq ft to 80,000 sq ft.

The Oldbury-based Richardson company bought the 10-acre former Lloyds Banking Group site off Wobaston Road after it was declared surplus to requirements by the banking group which closed the facility last year - moving staff to a new Birmingham office.

Allan Wilson, director at Erdgard, said of the plans: “We are excited by the prospect of bringing this redundant site back into beneficial use.

“If approved, the application will enable the development of three high-quality industrial and logistics units in an outstanding working environment.”

The site, situated to the north of Wolverhampton, would provide storage for up to 20,000 pallets, and loading bays for 15-20 heavy goods vehicles.

Richardson and Erdgard said they carried out an initial consultation with residents inviting them to have their say on the plans.

The proposal, however, has sparked some concern from people living nearby who have expressed worries the roads would be unable to cope with the traffic generated by the development, which would cater for 200-300 van and lorry movements per day.

Savills and CBRE have been appointed as joint leasing agents for the scheme.

If approved, the BREEAM Excellent-rated units will be available for occupation in Q3 2027 - Erdgard said.
