£5k reward in hunt for burglary suspect after gun dumped in West Midlands raid

Crimestoppers has issued a £5k reward for information on a man who is wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary.

West Midlands Police have backed a £5,000 Crimestoppers appeal for information that leads to the conviction of a burglary suspect after a firearm was dumped near a raided home in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham

Kyle Wilkinson Jones, aged 20, was believed to have been part of a group of four men who forced their way into the Birmingham family home on July 16, where he was later spotted dumping a firearm on a wall nearby.

Officers went to the location following the incident and recovered the live and viable weapon. 

Crimestoppers has now launched a £5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Kyle Wilkinson-Jones, saying that anyone who wants to give information is able to remain 'completely anonymous'.

The location of the raid was not revealed by West Midlands Police. 

Detective Inspector Tom Lyons, from West Midlands Police, said: "If you know where Kyle is or have any information, please get in touch.

“You don’t need to speak to us; you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers and remain completely anonymous."

Crimestoppers has said that to be eligible for the reward of up to £5,000, information must be provided directly to Crimestoppers and lead to Jones-Wilkinson's arrest.
