Three more teenagers arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after West Midlands attack

Police have arrested three more teenagers on suspicion of attempted murder following an attack in a West Midlands town earlier this month.

Three boys were attacked outside a shop on Stratford Road in Shirley, Solihull at around 9pm on February 7.

One of them, a 15-year-old boy, sustained life-changing injuries as a result of the armed attack.

A boy, aged 16, has previously been charged with attempted murder, assault, and possession of a bladed article.

However, West Midlands Police have arrested another three teenagers in connection with the incident - two aged 15 and a 14-year-old - but they have been bailed as the investigation continues. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "In total, seven people have been arrested as part of the investigation so far.

"This remains ongoing and we’re continuing to ask for witnesses or anyone with information, such as dashcam or mobile phone footage, to contact us on 101 quoting crime number 20/140175/26.
