The Express & Star Business Awards 2026 are now open for entries - giving West Midlands businesses chance to shine
It’s that time of year again as we prepare to celebrate businesses across the West Midlands with the launch of the Express & Star Business Awards 2026.
Now in their 15th year, the awards shine a spotlight on the region’s many successful companies and those steering them forwards.
Entries are now open and judging will take place in the spring ahead of a glittering awards evening at The Halls Wolverhampton on Thursday June 4 when the winners will be crowned.

The black tie event, with drinks reception and three-course dinner, will be hosted by radio personality Dicky Dodd and will see finalists, esteemed sponsors and prominent figures from the business and civic world gather for an unforgettable evening of celebration, networking and recognition.
Last year’s event attracted 133 nominations and saw John Joseph Donovan of JJX Logistics in Kingswinford won the Business Person of the Year award, Walsave Credit Union in Walsall was named Business of the Year and Bilston manufacturing firm Bowers & Jones was named Small Business of the Year after an incredibly tough judging process.

Entries are now open online at expressandstarbusinessawards.co.uk for 13 separate categories, each seeking to recognise the industry leaders in their respective fields.
Express & Star editor-in-chief Mark Drew said: "We are delighted to once again be hosting the Express & Star Business Awards. The event is a really special celebration that shines a light on the excellent work being carried out by our innovative business community.

"The Halls in Wolverhampton is a fantastic venue for the event and it is a real treat for those that win to grace the famous stage. It is perfect to showcase the work of those who are shortlisted.
"The standard of entries last year was incredibly high and I expect it to be the same this year. I would like to thank all those who have sponsored the categories and who will be helping to judge the awards."
Initial judging will take place in April, with the finalists selected by our team of independent judges - who will be announced shortly.
