'It was great to see the region's businesses continuing to lead the way,' awards founder says as Black Country firms take centre stage
Black Country companies took centre stage at the Signature Awards Birmingham which celebrated the best in business across the region.
The awards, delivered by Nachural, brought together leading entrepreneurs, organisations and decision-makers from across the UK at The Vox in Birmingham for an evening of recognition and celebration on February 6.

Businesses from the Black Country walked away with an array of awards and commendations in recognition of their strength, innovation and community spirit.

Wolverhampton’s School of Coding and AI won the Business of the Year award; Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler was recognised for promoting apprenticeships; Ladder for the Black Country in Walsall won the Community Excellence Award; Wolverhampton based UK Win Media brand growth agency won the Excellence in Tech award; West Bromwich’s Padel Inn was highly commended in the Start Up category and Neil Lloyd of FBC Manby Bowdler was highly commended in he Business Person of the Year category.

Ninder Johal, CEO of Nachural and the Signature Awards, said: “As someone who has been the president of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and a Board member of the Black Country LEP – it was great to see the region's businesses continuing to lead the way in innovation and enterprise.”
The awards have developed a strong national profile for recognising excellence and bringing together the people shaping the future of British business.

The evening, supported by headline sponsors Bond Wolfe and KLSA PKF, included a talk from keynote speaker Edwina Dunn, co-founder of dunnhumby, who talked about leadership, customer insight, and resilience in business.

The event also supported Black Country charity partner Kaleidoscope Plus Group, recognising the vital work the West Bromwich organisation does to promote good mental health and wellbeing.
