Six arrested after reports of 'shots fired' and disorder in Dudley

Police have arrested six people following a disorder in the Coseley area of Dudley earlier this week.

Officers were called to reports of disorder and a gun being fired in Hockley Road just before 11pm on 25 January.

When officers arrived, those involved had already left the area. Enquiries later found evidence that a firearm had been discharged.

Further investigations suggest a man was forced into a car and driven away. He has since been located and was not seriously injured.

A full investigation is ongoing to understand the circumstances of the incident. As part of the enquiries, six people have been arrested.

Three men aged 21, one man aged 22, one man aged 25, and a woman aged 20 have all been arrested on suspicion of kidnap.

Four men remain in police custody. A man and a woman have been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue.

Detective Inspector Francis Nock, said: “We understand how concerning this incident has been for the community which is why there’s continued to be an increased police presence around the area. 

“Our investigation is continuing and I would ask anyone who lives in the area or has any information to come forward and report it to us or anonymously through Crimestoppers. 

“We don’t believe there is a wider risk posed to the public but if you do have any concerns please speak to an officer or get in touch with us.”
