Good vibrations guaranteed as iconic California songsters The Beach Boys set for Wolverhampton visit

The Beach Boys are getting around once more and marking more than half a century of feelgood songs with appearances which includes University of Wolverhampton at The Civic Hall.

The group is also making 60 years of Pet Sounds and will visit the venue on June 19. 

Since the band’s co-founder, lead-singer and chief lyricist Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin’ USA” in 1961, dozens of the bands chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth.

They include “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” and “Kokomo.”   

In June last year Love was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, an honour recognising his profound contributions to the world of music.
