Wolverhampton man to appear in court charged with unlawful immigration offences

A man from Wolverhampton is due to appear in court next week, charged with unlawful immigration offences.

Ramal Briem, aged 33, from Wolverhampton, will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday, January 30, charged with offences relating to assisting unlawful immigration.

Briem had previously pleaded guilty to assisting unlawful immigration and was linked to an organised crime group involved in illegal Channel crossings.

Four suspected members of the group were arrested by the NCA in an operation in April 2025.

One of the crossings that Briem is alleged to have facilitated was the transportation of six migrants to Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, in March 2024. 

He is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on January 30.
