£3.4m funding boost for hospices, including 14 across the West Midlands - see which ones received the funding
More than £3.3 million in funding has been distributed to hospices across the Midlands.
The Midlands has received £3,401,243 in hospice funding, with more than 10 of those being in the West Midlands.
The cash injection comes after the Minister for State Care confirmed that hospices across England will receive more capital funding to support essential upgrades.

The Government announced that it will provide an extra £25 million in capital funding for 158 adult and children's hospices across England.
This money, which is now being allocated to individual hospices by Hospice UK, will help to fund urgent building repairs, better facilities and patient rooms, new outdoor spaces and improved IT equipment.
Of the hospices, 26 are in the Midlands, with 14 of those being in the West Midlands.
The additional investment is part of the Government's commitment to a multi-year settlement of £80 million across England for children's hospices over three years, with hopes to provide certainty for vital services that offer support for seriously ill children and families.
Minister of State for Care, Stephen Kinnock, said: "I am delighted that this additional cash boost of £3.3m has now been allocated to hospices across the Midlands.
“I thank Hospice UK for facilitating this so quickly, so hospices can swiftly contract any vital work and upgrades – making sure patients are being treated in the best possible environment.
“On top of our £125 million capital investment in hospices across England, we have pledged £80 million over the next three years for children’s hospices. And we are transforming palliative and end-of-life care by ending the postcode lottery, so every patient and family can get the high-quality care they deserve."
