'The day is going to be so inspirational and motivating' - Black Country law firm backs people-first leadership event
Higgs LLP has teamed up with podcast and live event company Wit + Grit Live for a one-day event at Millennium Point, Birmingham, about how to thrive at work.
The event on January 30 brings together speakers from sport, business and public service to explore resilience at work, confidence, leadership behaviour and the human skills needed to thrive in a changing world.

Wit + Grit was founded by BBC Radio WM presenter PJ Ellis alongside business leader Andy Dawson, president of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, after a series of honest podcast conversations revealed how many people feel under pressure, uncertain about the future and in need of better support at work.
PJ Ellis, co-founder of Wit + Grit, said: “The podcast showed us that people from all walks of life are wrestling with the same issues - resilience, confidence and opportunity. Wit + Grit Live exists to bring those conversations into a room and give people practical tools they can take back into work and life.”
Sam Dell, associate at Higgs LLP, which is a headline sponsor of the event, said: “We’re so proud to support Wit + Grit Live. It reflects our culture at Higgs which is always putting people first - supporting confidence, resilience and the next generation is essential for building strong organisations.”
Sam, a panel member for the event, added: “I’m lucky to have had brilliant support from the leaders at Higgs during my career and I think if businesses are serious about developing their people then these conversations really matter. The day is going to be so inspirational and motivating.”
Latoyah Thompson, associate at Brierley Hill headquartered Higgs LLP will also speak on the panel. She added: “I am very much looking forward to speaking at this inspiring event - PJ and Andy’s work resonates strongly with us, and I am proud to support their mission in any way I can.”
