Gun and drugs seized after early morning raid in Birmingham

Police have arrested two men and seized a gun and drugs, after carrying out a warrant in Acocks Green

Alongside the West Midlands Police's Operation Support Unit, officers from the Acocks Green Priority Team carried out the warrant,  at an address on Gospel Lane early this morning (Monday)

A live and viable revolver was recovered alongside a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.

Two men, aged 23 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Both remain in custody for questioning.

The raid was carried out under Operation Target, which aims to take guns and drugs off the streets of the West Midlands.
