'We are proud of our contribution to the region’s ongoing success,' says housebuilder driving growth across the West Midlands
Halesowen-based housebuilder Barratt Homes West Midlands built 522 new homes in the region in the last financial year, contributing more than £113 million to the UK economy, a new report confirms.
The achievements are outlined in a newly released report detailing the company’s social and economic impact between July 1 2024 and June 29 2025.

It highlights the housebuilder’s impact on local employment, infrastructure, education, green spaces and community investment across the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire.
During the year the business supported 1,600 jobs directly and through contractors and suppliers, employed 16 new graduates, apprentices and trainees and worked with 330 subcontractor businesses and 347 supplier companies.
It also established seven hectares of publicly accessible green space and contributed £1.7 million locally through Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 commitments.
The housebuilder, part of Barratt Redrow PLC - a FTSE100 company, also invested £15.1 million in physical works such as environmental upgrades, road improvements and community facilities; as well as donating £52,700 to charitable organisations.
Adrian Evans, managing director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “As a five-star housebuilder, we recognise the responsibility and opportunity we have in shaping strong, sustainable communities. Our work is about more than delivering high-quality homes, it’s about investing in people, supporting local economies and protecting the natural environment.
“We are proud of our contribution to the region’s ongoing success and look forward to continuing this momentum in 2026.”
