Arrest as stolen goods recovered and blade seized in Sutton Coldfield

A man has been arrested after officers recovered stolen items and a blade in Sutton Coldfield.

New Hall and Four Oaks neighbourhood officers spotted a man acting suspiciously at a shop on Penns Lane, Sutton Coldfield shortly before 9am this morning (Monday).

The raid took place earlier this week.
Officers were alerted to a break-in at a business in Darwall Street in the early hours of the morning

He was detained outside the store and the officers recovered stolen items and a small blade.

The man, aged 45, was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop, and possession of a bladed article, and was taken to custody where he remains.
