Police launch appeal following courier fraud in Birmingham

Police are asking for help in identifying two people after three victims were tricked into handing over cash.

West Midlands Police have appealed for help in identifying a man and a woman they would like to talk to following three cases of courier fraud.

The incidents are said to have happened in the areas of Birmingham, Sandwell and Coventry, between the dates of August 11 and August 13, and saw three people tricked into handing over cash and bank cards.

Anyone who recognises either of the two people pictured is asked to contact West Midlands Police on their 101 number, or alternatively via the Live Chat service on their website, quoting reference number 20/349695/25.

A force spokesperson said: "We would like to speak to them in relation to three courier frauds where victims have been tricked into handing over cash and bank cards.

"The frauds have taken place in the areas of Birmingham, Coventry and Sandwell between 11 and 13 August.

"If you recognise them, ring us on 101 quoting crime reference number 20/349695/25.

"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
