Police have launched an investigation into a burglary at a bar near the Halesowen Town FC football ground.

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal for information following a burglary at The Yeltz Bar, on Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, near the Halesowen Town FC grounds.

The burglary was reported to have taken place overnight on January 2, with a number of items taken and damage caused.

The Yeltz Bar is a venue that is associated with Halesowen Town Football Club, sitting less than a minute's walk away from the football ground.

Investigators have asked for anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage, or information relating to the burglary, to get in touch via their 101 number, or on the Live Chat service on their website, quoting reference number 20/102352/26. 

A force spokesperson said: "We're investigating after a burglary at The Yeltz Bar, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen.

"It's believed to have happened overnight on 2 January. A number of items were taken, and damage was also caused.

"We are following up CCTV and forensic enquiries, and anyone with information should get in touch, quoting 20/102352/26."
