Brierley Hill man charged after ram raid on shutter doors

A man has been charged with multiple driving offences and burglary after officers responded to reports of shutter doors being rammed in Tipton.

Daniel Kowolik, of Church Hill, Brierley Hill, has been charged with burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal,; dangerous driving; failing to stop; driving while disqualified; no insurance' no licence and forging a registration document.

The charges comes after police were called to a premises on Golds Hill Way, Tipton yesterday (Sunday), at 4.15pm, after an alarm was triggered and large quantities of cable stolen from an address.

A car was then seen by responding officers driving dangerously, through red lights and on the wrong side of the road before a man was arrested within 15 minutes of the Sandwell response team attending.  

Kowolik, aged 35, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).
