Lucky residents on three Black Country streets scoop £1,000 in People's Postcode Lottery
It has been an extra jolly festive period for People's Postcode Lottery players in three parts of the Black Country after their numbers came up, netting them £1,000 a ticket.
Two postcodes in Wolverhampton and one in Dudley were selected as winners in the People's Postcode Lottery, with one of the lucky winners announced on Christmas Day.
The winning ticket holders for WV6 9EX, which covers Alameda Gardens in Tettenhall, were announced among the 20 daily UK £1,000-a-ticket prize draw winners.
There was also festive joy for ticket holders in WV11 1DQ, which covers Mill Lane in Wednesfield, and DY1 3TD on Burton Road in Dudley, as they also scooped £1,000 from the daily draw.
Players pay £12.25 a month to enter the daily draw and be in with the chance of winning £1,000 per ticket.
Thirty per cent of the money from ticket sales goes directly to charities, with more than £700 million raised to date for thousands of good causes across Britain and internationally.
