The transport operator confirmed that there was no tram service operating between  Library and Edgbaston Village from around 8:00am this morning (December 27), while the obstruction near Fiveways was dealt with.

Trams continued to run normally on the rest of the line, with services operating between Wolverhampton and Library only.

Passengers travelling towards Edgbaston were advised to seek alternative transport and to allow extra time for their journeys.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
