Police appeal for witnesses after woman hit by car on Christmas Day in Tipton
Police are appealing for information after a woman was left seriously injured after being run down by a vehicle in Tipton on Christmas Day.
The woman, in her 60s, was crossing Alexandra Road shortly after 10am when she was stuck by the vehicle. She was left seriously injured and was transported to hospital, where she is now stable.
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation, police say.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We are in contact with her family who are being supported by specialist officers.
"We are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, to please get in touch with us.
