Mohammed Azim, aged 41, from Oldbury, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court  yesterday (Tuesday) and was expected to be arraigned and enter a plea to the charge of murdering 19-year-old Lily.

However, Azim's barrister told the court his client came to the UK when he was 16 and did not understand English well enough to follow proceedings.

He also said due to a brain injury Azim has mental health issues and needed to be assessed to conclude whether he was mentally fit to stand trial the case has been adjourned.
