Eight people arrested after two men seriously injured in Birmingham stabbing
Eight people have been arrested after two men were seriously injured in a stabbing in Birmingham.
Officers were called to Summer Lane at about 4.50am on Saturday after two men in their 20s suffered stab wounds, West Midlands Police said.
They were taken to hospital with serious injuries and are in a stable condition, the force added.
Six men and two women, aged between 19 and 25, were arrested, some on suspicion of wounding and others on suspicion of violent disorder, and have now been bailed pending further inquiries, police said.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We are continuing our inquiries such as reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses to establish the exact circumstances and identify all those involved.
