'We’re truly honoured to be shortlisted' - Wolverhampton opticians nominated for top award

An independent opticians in Wolverhampton has been nominated for the title of ‘Independent Practice of the Year’ at the 2025 Optician Awards in recognition of its expertise and high standards of patient care.

Taylor Biddle Opticians, established in 1994, has served the Wolverhampton community for more than three decades across its two practice locations - earning a reputation for delivering outstanding individualised eye care and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

“This achievement truly reflects our dedication in practice to providing exceptional eye care and a personalised service to each and every patient in our community.

“Our ethos is simple; if a patient needs a service we do not yet offer, we train and learn to provide it. This year alone, we have invested heavily in expanding our dry eye services, reflecting the growing demand for specialised care in this area. Our team has received advanced training in treatments including Punctal dilation/ plugs, Blephex, and other innovative dry eye therapies.”

The Opticians Awards recognise and reward excellence within the optical industry, covering all practice types, professional roles, products and specialisms. Winners are chosen by a panel of experts who are passionate about their profession and committed to advancing the optical world.

Taylor Biddle Opticians has been at the forefront of the optical industry for many years, becoming the first optician business in the area to introduce OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and Optomap scanning - allowing the team to detect and monitor eye conditions at the earliest stages, often before symptoms present.

The winners of the Optician Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on December 13.
