New BYD dealership in Wolverhampton is 'testament to the growth of sales and interest in electric cars' - garage boss says
Evans Halshaw has opened a new BYD dealership in Wolverhampton this week - creating 22 new jobs and boosting the fast growing electric brand’s presence in the UK.
The new dealership, which opened in Bilston Road on Monday December 1, offers a full range of electric vehicles including the Seal, Seal U DMI, Sealion, Dolphin, Dolphin Surf, Atto2 and Atto 3.
The centre will also offer sales and test drives, with servicing and aftersales support following in early 2026.
A 22-strong team of new associates have been appointed by Evans Halshaw to run the new site which takes the car dealership business's BYD network to seven nationwide.
Robert Hamilton, market area director of Evans Halshaw BYD, said: “Evans Halshaw BYD has been on a strong upwards trajectory over the past 12 months, and the new BYD dealership in Wolverhampton is testament to the growth of sales and interest in electric cars.

Evans Halshaw opened the first ever BYD dealerships in the UK when it opened the doors to BYD Birmingham and BYD Milton Keynes in March 2023.
