Services operated by London Northwestern Railway serving London Euston, Stafford and Crewe; and between New Street and Liverpool Lime Street are affected.

The National Rail website stated: "Due to a member of train crew being unavailable between Stafford and Crewe, this means that fewer London Northwestern Railway trains are able to run.

The issue occurred on the line between Longbridge and Birmingham New Street
Trains have been forced to run at restricted speed between Birmingham and Wolverhampton due to a defective line

"As a result some trains running through these stations may be cancelled. Disruption is expected until 4pm."

Tickets can be used at no extra cost on CrossCountry services between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent and on East Midlands Railway services to Crewe.
