A teenager has been charged with the murder of Yassin Alama and possession of a bladed article
Police have charged a boy murder suspect with the death of teenager Yassin Alama in Handsworth, Birmingham
The murder suspect, aged 17, was arrested from a property in Birmingham on Sunday, and he has now been charged with Yassin Alama’s death and possession of a bladed article.
The boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - will be appearing before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
An 18-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender over the murder was bailed.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Yassin’s family have been updated on the latest developments, and we continue to support them.
“We are continuing our enquiries after Yassin was fatally stabbed in Handsworth on 16 November.
“Anyone who knows more about the circumstances around Yassin's death can call 101 quoting log 3135 of 16 November.”
