Two children injured in M6 crash in West Midlands after car found on its side

Two children have been injured after crash on the M6 in the West Midlands overnight.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 12.29am to the M6 Northbound between junctions 2 and 3 in Henley, Warwickshire at 12.29am. 

Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene, where a vehicle was found on its side. 

Two children were found to be injured at the scene - including one left with serious injuries. 

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found a car on its side.

“The first patient, a girl, was found outside the vehicle. Ambulance staff treated the child for serious injuries before she was conveyed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

“A second patient, also a young girl, was treated for minor injuries and was conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
