Buses to be diverted as Sandwell road to close for overnight works

Bus services in Sandwell are due to be diverted to make way for overnight road works and resurfacing works.

National Express West Midlands have warned of upcoming bus diversions to allow for overnight road works in the Wednesbury area.

Wood Green Road and Walsall Street will be closed from November 25 to November 26, between the hours of 6.30pm and 3am, to make way for road resurfacing works.

National Express West Midlands have warned that due to the closure, service 11 will be diverted in both directions.

The service will now instead follow Myvod Road, Park Lane, Manor House Road, Trouse Lane, High Bullen, and then the normal line of route. 

A National Express West Midlands spokesperson said: "Diversion, November 25 to November 26, 6.30pm to 3am.

"11 to Dudley from Wood Green Road will now follow Myvod Road, Park Lane, Manor House Road, Trouse Lane, High Bullen to the normal line of route.

"11 to Walsall, reverse of above."

The road is expected to reopen at 3am on November 26.
