Five men charged as police execute drugs warrants in Birmingham

Five men have been charged with multiple offences after police carried out drug warrants in Birmingham.

The arrests come as officers with West Midlands Police's County Lines Taskforce carried out warrants across four properties in Erdington on Thursday.

Following the warrants, five men were arrested on a list of drug offences, with officers seizing a 'large amount' of cash, drugs, weapons, and a phone they believe is linked with drug dealing.

Now, all five men have been charged with relevant offences listed below. 

Kasif Mahmood, aged 24, has been charged with supply of crack cocaine, concerned in the supply of heroin, acquiring/using/possessing criminal property, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and possession with intent to supply class B drugs. 

Asif Mahmood, aged 48, has been charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs, and acquire/use/possess criminal property. 

Suhail Khan, aged 25, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, concerned in the supply of heroin, and possession of an offensive weapon.

Michael Lynch, aged 45, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and the possession of an offensive weapon. 

Mohammed Khan, aged 22, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin.

All five men were remanded into custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court today . 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "It’s part of Operation Target, which is our 24/7 mission to disrupt and arrest those involved in guns, drugs, exploitation and more."
