Asylum seeker who murdered Rhiannon Skye Whyte ordered to undergo CT scan to determine his real age ahead of sentencing
The asylum seeker who murdered Rhiannon Skye Whyte at Bescot Railway Station has been ordered to undergo a CT scan to definitively establish his age.
Deng Chol Majek claims he is 19-years-old but paperwork processed by Italian authorities after he arrived there from Sudan states he was born in 1998.
Majek is due to be sentenced for the murder of hotel worker Miss Skye Whyte on October 20 last year on December 15 at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The difference between being a teenage killer or 27-years-old will have a bearing on the length of sentence given Majek by Justice Michael Soole KC.

Sentencing guidelines urge judges to be more lenient to young people as their brains have not yet fully developed as teenagers and in their early 20s, especially men.
During his trial Majek told jurors he was 16-years-old when he left Sudan and the Italian authorities had mistakenly recorded he was born in 1998.
