Wolverhampton sporting community stalwarts recognised with awards, including Steve Bull
Sporting individuals and two longstanding clubs from the city of Wolverhampton were honoured in a special ceremony
Steve Bull, who scored over 250 goals for Wolves and played 13 times for England was inducted into Wolverhampton's Sporting Hall of Fame.
Two other people who represented their country - Greg Silvester and the late Gary Haynes - joined the Olympian Way at WV Active Aldersley.
They joined two organisations - Woodfield Sports & Social Club and Penn Bowling Club - who were celebrating their centenary. Representatives of both were present to receive certificates.
The Wolverhampton Sports Advisory Council launched the Sporting Hall of Fame in 1999 to recognise and celebrate the achievements of sportsmen, sportswomen and sporting clubs who have represented the city.

Gary, from Wednesfield, was a former power lifter who turned his attentions to football and represented England in the European Football Championships for people with learning difficulties. A large picture of him in his kit was unveiled to be placed at Aldersley.
Greg has spent more than 30 years representing and volunteering for Special Olympics GB
He was emotional as he said: "This is a wonderful moment for me and my family to get this recognition and I would like to thank everyone involved for the nomination and the award."
Steve Bull said: "Everybody probably knows how much Wolverhampton as a place and the people mean to me having represented a great club and this is a great honour.
"I remember training at Aldersley Stadium and standing in the middle of the pitch looking out at the names on the wall of fame and thinking I would be there at some point - it only took 30 years, " he joked.
Chairman of the Wolverhampton Sports Advisory Council, Peter Holmes MBE, said: “Wolverhampton has a very great sporting history, and the foundations of this history are the clubs and the individuals themselves.
"We are delighted to welcome more of them to the city's Sporting Hall of Fame and recognised two great sporting clubs who do so much for the community."
