Arrests in Birmingham as 'Operation Skybridge' swoops in
Operation Skybridge have begun their deployment in Erdington, making a number of arrests across the area.
West Midlands Police officers from the proactive crime team arrested two men on Saturday, November 15, and also arrested a man on Friday, November 14.
On Saturday, at around 11.30pm, the Skybridge officers were patrolling around Slade Road, where they spotted a man acting suspiciously whilst carrying a television. He was stopped and following enquiries the 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods.

Following further searches, a large television, power tools, and more electrical items were seized.
Earlier in the day, a car was stopped by officers in Gravelly Lane. After enquiries, the driver, a 22-year-old man, was arrested after he was found to be wanted for failing to appear at court.
On Friday, a man was arrested from an address in Milverton Road, Erdington, after he was found to be wanted for breaching bail.
Operation Skybridge officers continue to carry out proactive enforcement across Birmingham, where they target offenders and disrupt crime.
