Steve Bull among Wolverhampton sporting heroes set to be recognised by city this weekend
Three sporting heroes who represented Wolverhampton on the international stage will be honoured by the city this weekend.
Steve Bull will be inducted into Wolverhampton's Sporting Hall of Fame whilst Greg Silvester and Gary Haynes will join the Olympian Way at WV Active Aldersley.
Two organisations - Woodfield Sports & Social Club and Penn Bowling Club - will join 'Bully' in the hall of fame as they are recognised for celebrating their centenary.

Gary from Wednesfield was a former power lifter who turned his attentions to football and represented England in the European Football Championships for people with learning difficulties.

Greg has spent more than 30 years representing and volunteering for Special Olympics GB - both he and Gary are already in the hall of fame and will join the Olympian Way at WV Active Aldersley in a ceremony this Saturday morning (November 15).
The Wolverhampton Sports Advisory Council launched the Sporting Hall of Fame in 1999 to recognise and celebrate the achievements of sportsmen, sportswomen and sporting clubs who have represented the city.
Chairman of the Wolverhampton Sports Advisory Council, Peter Holmes MBE, said: “Wolverhampton has a very great sporting history, and the foundations of this history are the clubs and the individuals themselves.
"We are delighted to welcome more of them to the city's Sporting Hall of Fame this weekend."
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for health, wellbeing and community, said: “Wolverhampton has produced competitors of national and international standard in a wide variety of sports, and the Sports Advisory Council has already recognised dozens of them by inducting them in the Sporting Hall of Fame since 1999.
“It’s wonderful news that Woodfield Sports & Social Club, Penn Bowling Club, Steve Bull, Greg Silvester and Gary Haynes will shortly be joining the illustrious list of people and sporting and educational organisations whose achievements have been celebrated in this way."
The ceremony will take place at WV Active Aldersley on Saturday where the Sporting Hall of Fame book and wall plaques are displayed.
