101-year-old RAF veteran joining Wolverhampton City College students in poignant Armistice ceremony

Hundreds of students and members of the armed forces have attended a poignant Armistice Day parade event at the City of Wolverhampton College, on Wellington Road, to pay tribute to those who died in Britain's wars. 

Around 100 members of the Uniformed Public Services students (UPS) took part in the parade, which was witnessed by hundreds of spectators, including members of the college and the local community.

The Armistice event was started with a full parade by the Uniformed Public Services students, before a two-minute silence was observed, and then a laying of the wreaths. 

This year also featured readings from the college chaplain, Maggie Everett, which were also translated into British Sign Language (BSL), Polish, and Urdu.
