The best of Remembrance Sunday as communities across the West Midlands commemorate fallen soldiers

People across the West Midlands came together on Remembrance Sunday to commemorate the service and sacrifice of those who have died in wars around the world.

Services and parades took place across the region, as crowds gathered to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.

Armistice Day, November 11, commemorates the end of hostilities on the Western Front in the First World War and is used to remember those who died in all conflicts since 1914.

At 11am today (November 9) a two-minute silence was observed at war memorials and other public spaces across the UK.
