Pedestrian hit by car near Staffordshire train station suffers leg injury

Police are appealing for information following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Codsall.

Staffordshire Police are asking for information following a crash between a car and a pedestrian near Bilbrook train station on Friday, October 24.

The pedestrian had just left the train station and was walking down Elliotts Lane at around 11.30pm when the collision took place.

The driver of the vehicle stopped and spoke to the pedestrian following the incident; however, they left shortly after. 

The pedestrian was taken to hosptial with a leg injury. 

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Codsall.

"The pedestrian left Bilbrook train station and was walking along Elliotts Lane at around 11.30pm when the incident happened on Friday, October 24.

"The driver of the vehicle stopped and spoke to the pedestrian, but then left shortly after. 

"The investigating officers are urging any witnesses, or the driver of the vehicle, to contact him via peter.abbotts@staffordshire.police.uk with relevant information."
