'Malicious' call sparks police alert at school in Stourport
Police were called to a Stourport senior school after a hoax call caused a alert.
West Mercia Police said officers rushed to Stourport High School in Minster Road, Stourport on Monday afternoon after an anonymous call which it described as a "malicious communication" resulted in pupils hiding under desks as part of lockdown procedures.

The force stated: “We received a call around 2:30pm yesterday afternoon (3) from Stourport High School regarding an anonymous call they had received that caused them concern.
“The phone call has been identified as malicious communication with no threat or risk to pupils and staff at the school. Officers remained at the school for the afternoon to offer reassurance to the pupils and staff.”
