Shane Hadlington, 36,  was spotted driving a Honda Civic without a front registration number plate at 6,30pm on November 2, last year, near the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.

After confirming the car was stolen the officers tried to pull Hadlington over but he sped away driving double the 30mph speed limit, running red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road.

The chase came to an end when he crashed into a female motorist in a Mazda whilst on the wrong side of the road. He fled the scene and evaded officers but left his mobile phone in the car providing police with his identity.

Hadlington, of Saltbrook Place, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court, from HMP Hewell, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
