Three more arrests after fatal Wolverhampton shooting - latest police update in full

Detectives hunting the killers of a Wolverhampton father have made three more arrests as the investigation gathers pace.

Jermaine Smith aged 30, was shot dead in Lilleshall Crescent in All Saints in Wolverhampton in the early hours of October 25.

West Midlands Police said earlier today detectives arrested two men, aged 18 and 19 and a 16-year-old girl on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting.

Earlier this week officers arrested an 18-year-old man also on suspicion of murder.

The force said all four remain in custody for questioning.

Detectives have continued their appeal for information in relation to what happened and want anyone who has not yet come forward to phone them on101 or contact the team via Live Chat on the force website quoting log 50 of October 25.

"We have made a further three arrests after a father was shot dead in the All Saints area of Wolverhampton last Saturday (25 Oct). Jermaine Smith, aged 30 died after the fatal attack on Lilleshall Crescent in the early hours of the morning.

"Earlier today, we arrested two men, aged 18 and 19 and a 16-year-old girl on suspicion of murder. Earlier this week, we arrested an 18-year-old man, also on suspicion of murder.

"All four people remain in custody for questioning. We continue to appeal for information"
