The woman charged with violent disorder ahead of a fatal attack on Matthew Adams outside a pub in West Bromwich has told a jury she 'just wanted to leave' before he was severely beaten.

Nicola Stanley, 39, was shown on CCTV from The Gough Arms screaming, shouting and fighting as Matthew Adams and a group of family and friends began brawling.

Stanley has been charged with violent disorder and pleaded not guilty.

She is on trial with Mark Shorthouse, 55 who has pleaded guilty to violent disorder, but denied murder and manslaughter.

Ryan Stanley, aged 30; John Wise, and a 16-year-old boy, all of Sandwell, are also on trial for the fatal attack and have been accused of and deny murder, manslaughter and violent disorder. 

Stanley told Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday (Monday) that she wanted to leave the West Bromwich pub before Adams was given a severe beating in the car park which was also caught on CCTV.
