Sian Finn, 48, who now works in the Black Country, has taken her case to the West Midlands Employment Tribunal citing victimisation.

Miss Finn worked in the organisation's sexual health services department between 2019 and 2024 and the tribunal is expected to hear evidence concerning the behaviour of management of the hybrid charity and company which relies on donations to operate.

The organisation has recently moved from Horsefair to a new base in Hurst Street, Birmingham.

The organisation has provided counselling, sexual health testing and raising awareness of issues facing the West Midlands community for more than 20 years.

It is unusual for an organisation which main purpose is to improve the rights of a minority to be forced to  contest a case citing discrimination or victimisation,

LGBT's website declares: "We create and maintain an environment in which everyone is treated fairly with consideration, dignity and respect."
