West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation after officers were called to Lilleshall Crescent, in the Graiseley area of the city, at around 12.15am, to reports of a shooting.

A man, aged 30, was pronounced dead a short time later.

The incident follows a spate of other shooting incidents in the city in recent weeks - including a 19-year-old being rushed to hospital with a gunshot leg wound from a shooting in Peel Street Car Park and two men being fatally shot inside a vehicle in Whitmore Reans.
