'The caring heart at the centre of countless emergencies' - Respected Willenhall paramedic retires after 43 years of service

A well-respected Willenhall paramedic has been celebrated by his colleagues as he retires after 43 years of service.

Ed, who has been described as 'the caring heart at the centre of countless emergencies', was recognised with a log-service award as his colleagues at the Willenhall Hub gathered to wish him well for the future.

In a farewell message on social media, his colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "After 43 years of dedicated service, Willenhall Paramedic, Ed is 'standing down' for the last time as he heads off on retirement!
