The three week trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court was beset by delays due to the former manager of Amberley Care Home, Jamiel Slaney-Summers being unable to attend proceedings on several days.

Slaney-Summers, 65, and co-owners Lyn, 71, and Graham Walker, 74, are accused of abusing their position by defrauding resident Rita Barnsley after her will was changed before she died in August 2021.

Slaney-Summers is also charged with stealing £6,000 from 85-year-old Rita Barnsley by using her bank cards to withdraw cash.

All three gave evidence in their defence from the witness stand with Slaney-Summers
