Inside, officers found around 1,000 cannabis plants at different stages of growth spread over several rooms.

As well as the plants, a 21-year-old man was found in the loft space of the property, and was arrested by officers on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

A force spokesperson said: "Cannabis farms pose a serious risk to the neighbourhoods they are active in. There is a risk of fire from the associated crime and anti-social behaviour that comes from them.

"Our teams across the West Midlands regularly carry out warrants at properties suspected of being involved in cannabis production.
