Two £1 million lottery prizes remain unclaimed in Birmingham, and one of them is just weeks away from being withdrawn.

The team at Boyle Lotto have identified the two tickets, with one of them having a deadline of November 20 before the cash is redirected to the National Lottery’s Community Fund, supporting good causes and projects across the UK.

The first unclaimed ticket, worth £1m, was from the Lotto draw on May 24 after one player matched five numbers plus the bonus ball. The winning numbers were 9, 12, 13, 26, 38, 40, and bonus 4. The deadline to claim is November 20.

The second unclaimed ticket, also purchased in Birmingham, carries the exact same £1m tag - this time from the EuroMillions draw on August 15, through its Millionaire Maker code. That player has a little longer, until February 11 of next year, to come forward.

A Boyle Lotto spokesperson said: “It’s incredible to think there could be two brand new millionaires walking around Birmingham completely unaware. We’d urge everyone to check old tickets in pockets, glove boxes, and down the back of the sofa - one lucky player has just weeks left before their chance to win disappears.”

Anyone who suspects they might be a winner can visit the National Lottery website, which lists all current unclaimed prizes and details on how to make a claim.

Currently, only three unclaimed prizes remain in the UK: the two in Birmingham plus a £10.6 million Lotto jackpot won on October 4 in the London Borough of Bexley.

One lucky ticket matched all six numbers - 6, 8, 12, 33, 49, and 59, with bonus ball 42 - giving the mystery winner until April 2 next year to come forward.

Meanwhile, Britain’s winning streak continues.

On Friday, October 10, a single UK ticket-holder scooped a massive £25.7 million EuroMillions jackpot after matching all numbers - marking the fourth UK EuroMillions winner this year.

This win extended the UK’s total of EuroMillions jackpot winners to 134, the most of all participating countries since the lottery began in 2004.

Earlier wins this year include £26 million on October 3, £65 million on Valentine’s Day, and a huge £83 million jackpot in January.
