Birmingham train delays after person dies on tracks
Major train delays to Birmingham services have been reported after a person died on a mainline railway track.
Heavy disruptions to train travel have been reported on services heading towards Birmingham after a person was reported to have died on the tracks.
The incident was reported to have taken place between Birmingham New Street Station and Birmingham International shortly before midday on Wednesday, October 15, with emergency services being called to the tracks at Marston Green Railway Station, Holly Lane, Birmingham.

West Midlands Ambulance Service responded to the station following reports of an incident on the line at around 11.48am today, and on arrival, found the patient, who was described as a 'pedestrian'.
One ambulance and two paramedic officers attended the scene alongside the British Transport Police; however, the casualty was confirmed deceased on scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to Marston Green Station, Holly Lane, Birmingham at 11.48am following reports of an incident on the railway line.
"An ambulance and two paramedic officers responded. Sadly, a pedestrian was confirmed deceased on scene."
British Transport Police confirmed that the death is 'not being treated as suspicious', and that a file is currently being prepared for the coroner.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 11.50am today ( 15 October) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Marston Green Railway Station.
"Officers responded with paramedics; however, sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
All lines were closed between Birmingham New Street and International stations, with the incident affecting Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, London Northwestern Railway, Transport for Wales, and West Midlands Railway services.
The delays are expected until 4pm, with rail ticket acceptance being accepted on the National Express West Midlands services 8A, 8C, 11A, 11C, 14, 14A, 18, 18A, 97, 97A, X1 and X12.
A Transport for West Midlands spokesperson said: "Train services between New Street and Birmingham International are disrupted due to a lineside incident currently being dealt with. Train services will be delayed and cancelled. Check with the train operator for the most up-to-date information.
"Train tickets can be accepted on nxwestmidlands buses 8A, 8C, 11A, 11C, 14, 14A, 18, 18A, 72, 97, 97A, X1, X12."
